Miranda’s probably feels the most mature to you because she’s basically just a female version of Shepard. Either way that difference is gone by then. The age/experience gap is a decent point in 2, but again, in 3 she’s either an Admiral of a fleet or their resident Geth expert. Tali’s romance helps show her personal growth, because that awkward part of her is gone by 3, romanced or not based on her lines with Garrus. They didn’t expect the two to be so popular so they added them as romance options. Tali, I can see where you’re coming from but it’s partially because it was a fanservice romance like with Garrus. She’s definitely matured by 3, but her obsession with Shepard in 2 weirds me out. Liara I definitely agree, at least for the first game. also, do I need to mention she even tells the big boss NO and sides with you when he orders you to preserve the collector's base?ĭisagree on Ashley, hers felt natural if a bit generic. In ME3 if you continue her romance, she even tells you she planned to make a prison break to get you out, which just shows how much you matter to her.įor me, Miranda felt like the most mature and most realistic relationship in the entire game.
When you do something morally questionable, she understands it is necessary, unlike Tali who starts complaining. You do not need to teach her or explain anything to her like to Tali, Garrus, or Ashley. She knows how the galaxy is dark and cruel and still supports Shepard. I also like how she is mature and doesn't question or complain about shit like a pile of corpses being burned to prevent spreading plague in Omega. Eventually, she warms up and you realize she is actually a caring and deeply loving person hiding this personality behind her facade.
She wanted to implant the mind-controlling chip into Shepard's brain to make him obedient to the illusive man. she finds him equal, she starts out as a ruthless and cold top-ranked Cerberus officer who without hesitation executes anyone who stands in Cerberus's way. Miranda's romance feels so far the most mature and earned one. Tali's romance feels more like fan service and feels like I'm dating a teen girl who is naive and has a crush on a way older and experienced man, not to mention Garrus and Tali's romance feels more real than Shepard and Tali one. They are circle-jerking around Shepard as if he was some sort of god.
